So far, activities have been performed, among others, in the field of waste segregation, automatic lighting adjustment in the main building, completion of the next stage of thermal efficiency improvement of the building, including ceiling insulation, modernization of the heating system, installation of solar panels on roofs of the Institute’s building and lighting modernization.

This year inventory of refrigerators and freezers shall be performed in Nencki Institute, in order to identify equipment using cooler agents which have already been withdrawn and are hazardous to the environment.

Refrigerators and freezers labelled A+ to A+++ are characterized by low power consumption and a low noise level, and are eco-friendly. By using such refrigerators and freezers we will cut down power bills and contribute to protection of the natural environment.
