Ilona Kotlewska-Waś – Fulbright scholarship holder

Ilona Kotlewska-Waś, PhD student in the Laboratory of Psychophysiology (supervisor:  Anna Nowicka), received a prestigious Fulbright scholarship: Fulbright Junior Advanced Research Award.  This is an award for doctoral students of Polish research institutions who will conduct research at American universities.

Ilona will join prof. James V. Haxby laboratory at the Dartmouth College in Hanover (NH, USA), where she will conduct her research under the supervision of prof. Ida Gobbini. Her project is focused on recognition of familiar and unfamiliar faces; patterns of brain activity will be investigated using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
