The Nencki Institute consists of:
Research laboratories, operating within two scientific centres: Center for Basic and Translational Research in the Field of Biology and Biomedical Sciences, and Center of Excellence for Neural Plasticity and Brain Disorders BRAINCITY
Centre for Basic and Translational Research in the Field of Biology and Biomedical Sciences comprises of 30 research laboratories dealing with basic and translational research in the fields of neurobiology and civilization diseases.
BRAINCITY Centre of Excellence for Neural Plasticity and Brain Diseases Research is an International Research Agenda with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) as partner. BRAINCITY will establish 6 research labs to study various aspects of neural plasticity and brain diseases.
Core Facility Laboratories forming the Neurobiology Centre
Neurobiology Centre gathers 9 core-facility environmental laboratories, offering internal and external users high-class scientific expertise and access to modern research equipment.
Research Station in Mikolajki
Mikołajki Research Station is a field base for behavioural, metabolic, biochemical and molecular research as well as for educational activities. The Station offers access to richly equipped laboratories and conference rooms. In 2019, the station created the Arboretum - Forest Botanical Garden.
