The Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS is seeking a candidate for the position of: Research position for Ukrainian scientist with experience in biochemistry and/or protein analyses and/or microscopic methods

Requirements:

  • PhD degree or higher in the field of biological sciences, biochemistry or related disciplines,
  • Documented experience in biochemistry and/or molecular biology, and/or microscopy,
  • Expertise and competence in designing and carrying out scientific experiments and in interpreting their results,
  • Activities and research interests matching the subject of the project,
  • Good written and spoken English.

 

Project description:

Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in Warsaw offers a position for a researcher in a project concerning the role of the nexin-dynein regulatory complex in the regulation of cilia beating using ciliate Tetrahymena as a model organism. Responsibilities includes: protein tagging, protein expression and purification, analyses of cells phenotype (cell motility, cilia beating, protein localization).

The offer is directed to Ukrainian scientists who were employed at universities or other research institutions in Ukraine and came to Poland after 24 February 2022.

 

Employment conditions:

  • type of contract: full-time employment contract
  • duration of contract: 6-9 months
  • monthly remuneration: 4800 PLN net per month
  • Focus on research, no teaching obligations

 

Required documents (in English):

  • Cover letter,
  • CV (should include the following points: education, list of peer-reviewed publications, popular science articles, most important achievements, participation in scientific projects, known experimental methods),
  • Declaration that on 24 February 2022 candidate worked as a scientist/researcher on the territory of Ukraine and has at least a PhD degree,
  • A copy of PhD diploma (if available).
