Dioscuri Centre for Chromatin Biology and Epigenomics

at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw,

is seeking a highly motivated research technician.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a general knowledge of molecular and cell biology techniques (PCR, cell culture, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry skills will be considered as a great asset). We require independence and excellent work organization skills, a creative approach to research problems, team collaboration skills and motivation. Experience in laboratory work is necessary.

Our well-funded laboratory (see our Lab Website) employs "omics" technologies to understand the bases of astrocyte cell identity. We are currently funded by numerous grants including the prestigious Dioscuri grant, three additional NCN grants, EMBO Installation grant and Maria Skłodowska Curie Network grant chrom_rare.

Scope of tasks:

The successful candidate will support PhD students and post-docs in a project aimed at better understanding of the functions of astrocytes in primates. The successful candidate will take advantage of molecular and cellular biological techniques including genome editing tools. The candidate will be involved in mouse experiments.
