Method for diagnosing remyelination and regeneration processes of myelin in patients with diagnosed multiple sclerosis
Patent inventors: Katarzyna Konarzewska, Małgorzata Zawadzka

The subject of the present invention is a method for detecting active, remyelinating lesions in patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis through the determination of changes in the levels of interleukin-33 in peripheral blood and cerebrospinal fluid, which constitutes a novel marker of endogenous repair processes facilitating the monitoring of the differentiation of oligodendrocyte precursor differentiation in patients.

Patent was granted in Poland and Nencki Institute is the sole applicant.
