Scholarship for Anna Dziewulska, Michał Mlącki, Anna Ćmoch and Weronika Dębowska

Scholarships are awarded by the Academic Entrepreneurship Foundation and are co-funded by the European Union under the European Social Fund.

Anna Dziewulska’s project is focused on the role of AMP-activated protein kinase in pathogenesis of muscle insulin resistance. Mr Mlacki’s research concerns molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis using the example of skin cancer in an animal model. His experiments will help to explain the role of selected genes in the functioning of signal transduction pathways associated with the process of carcinogenesis. Anna Ćmoch’s project is focused on identification of protein markers of early mineralization phase in norm and pathology. Her results will be helpful in future elaboration of early diagnosis test that could be used to examine mineralization of bones and other tissues. Weronika Debowska’as project is focused on learning induced neuroplasticity. She designed innovative tactile stimulator based Braille alphabet which was necessary for her studies.
