The Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS is seeking a candidate for the position of: Postdoctoral Fellow in Molecular Neuroscience

A highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow is sought to carry out research in the laboratory of Dr. Tomasz J. Prószyński at Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Warsaw, Poland.

The Prószyński Lab conducts multidisciplinary research that focuses on the understanding and identifying of molecular mechanisms that malfunction in various neurological diseases in the central and the peripheral nervous systems. Our laboratory studies the processes underlying developmental remodeling of the neuromuscular synapses and aims to identify novel postsynaptic proteins that could contribute to congenital muscular dystrophies. We are also interested in molecular mechanisms that regulate neuronal organization and animal behavior. Better understanding of these processes may provide clues to the pathological mechanisms in certain human neurological and psychiatric disorders, particularly those involving stress, fear, and appetite. The lab is using cutting edge technologies and wide spectrum of techniques such as mass spectrometry, conditional ablation of target genes, and complex biochemistry. Please see our latest articles:
