Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for scientific activity awarded to Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń

Professor Agnieszka Dobrzyń, director of the Nencki Institute, and head of the Laboratory of Cell Signaling and Metabolic Disorders, received the award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for significant achievements in scientific activity.

Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń is the author of 92 scientific publications (cited over 2700 times, H=36), 3 chapters in textbooks, and 4 international patents. She is co-author of the pooled testing strategy for SARS-CoV-2, an innovative method for early diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, the development of a flow microsystem for the creation and culture of three-dimensional aggregates of pancreatic island cells, and the creation of a bionic pancreas for the therapy of diabetes. Since September 2020, Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń has been the National Coordinator for the mass testing of SARS-CoV-2, and the head of the SONAR project, which aims to develop and implement COVID-19 pooled testing in Poland.
