Requirements:

We are looking for a creative person with experience in neuroscience and research on mouse models that would investigate how epileptiform changes in the brain are related to cognitive impairments. We invite applicants with the following qualifications:

  1. PhD in biological sciences (or the equivalent of MD-PhD) with a specialization in neurobiology (obtained not earlier than 7 years before the date of project start).
  2. Documented achievements and scientific activity (publications, speeches at conferences, research internships, awards, scholarships).
  3. Practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of basic epilepsy research.
  4. High motivation for independent and collaborative research.
  5. Experience in electrophysiology and behavioral research.
  6. Experience in animal research (mouse).

 

Scope of tasks:

Participation in the implementation of the research project entitled " Dispersed mossy fiber synapses as a possible cause of cognitive dysfunctions in epileptiform neuropsychiatric conditions" financed by the National Science Center (Poland).

  • conducting research on genetic and pharmacological mice models of temporal lobe epilepsy
  • preparing scientific documentation
  • presenting results
  • writing scientific publications.

 

Employment conditions:

  • salaries: 8.300 PLN (gross) per month
